Sit comfortably for longer, with healthy skin and better posture. The right cushion and seating setup helps prevent pressure injuries, reduces fatigue and makes everyday activities easier.
It depends on pressure injury risk, posture and how much someone moves, so this is where an assessment matters most. We review the current setup and recommend changes. Our range includes pressure care and positioning cushions from Jay, Vicair and Action, plus backs, hip belts and seating parts. Book an assessment or call 1300 622 122.
Common questions
What is specialised seating?
Cushions, backrests, headrests and supports that help with posture and pressure care in a wheelchair. They're usually set up with an OT or seating specialist.
Which cushion do I need?
Foam, gel and air cushions each suit different levels of pressure risk and posture needs. Your OT will usually advise.
Can seating be funded?
Often, yes. NDIS, Support at Home and DVA can all fund this kind of equipment, usually with advice from an occupational therapist. See funding your equipment.
