Specialty Power Wheelchair Controls

Specialty controls let people drive a power wheelchair, or use switches and other technology, when a standard joystick doesn’t work for them. We supply and set up options from Active Controls, AbleNet and Switch-It.

Good to know: the right control depends on how the person moves, their chair and what they want to do. An assessment with an OT is the best place to start, and we can work with your OT to compare different set-ups.

Funding: often funded through NDIS, Support at Home or DVA. Most need an assessment by your OT first. See funding your equipment.

How it works with us: book a time to meet one of the team. We’ll work with your OT to find the right control, prepare the quote, then fit it, set it up and show you and your carers how to use it.
